Who We Are
MQVN CDC's mission is to preserve and promote our unique diversity and improving the quality of life of residents in the Greater New Orleans area, beginning in New Orleans East. Together with community partners, our work encompasses health care, environmental and agricultural concerns, education, housing, social services, economic development and culture and the arts.
What We Do
MQVN CDC is a non profit organization that primarily works in New Orleans East in an African-American, Vietnamese, and Latino community. We started in 2006 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to redevelop the community with community input. Some of our accomplishments include: opening a community health clinic, starting a community farm, business development, language access, building a walking path, business development, and social services.
