New Orleans Pride

New Orleans Pride fully embraces the message of “One CommUNITY” as we celebrate our history and promote the future prosperity of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast Region. We use public awareness and education about the LGBT+ community as a way to combat “phobias” and discrimination. Our programs, seminars and events leading up to, and during Pride weekend, are meant to include individuals from all walks of life. New Orleans Pride raises money for two reasons. Funds are raised for our chapter of “Stand For The Silent” to focus on ending bullying. Secondly, funds are raised to put on the New Orleans Pride Festival for the LGBT+ Community of New Orleans and its allies. Our Mission New Orleans Pride's objectives are to create an atmosphere where lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people can be proud of their sexual orientation and gender identity. Our Values Inclusivity New Orleans Pride welcomes everyone and wants everyone to feel included. We strive to create a sense of belonging and shared purpose. Diversity New Orleans Pride celebrates the uniqueness of all individuals while bringing people together as One CommUNITY. Creativity New Orleans Pride inspires our city through education, ideas and the talents of our community. Our Vision We aspire to create One CommUNITY, bringing together individuals from all walks of life, through our family friendly events that are welcoming to all.

New Orleans Pride works year round to educate and raise awareness of the effect of bullying in youth. We also put on the yearly Pride Festival, that brings together people from all walks of life for a weekend of events.
