Volunteer: Teacher Free-Store Support

Looking for a consistent, reliable recurring volunteer to support our Teacher Free-Store with the back-to-school rush. During the month of August the Free Store serves 40+ teachers every day. In order to keep the space tidy, well-stocked, and prevent it from over crowding we ask teachers to "book an appointment" to shop.

We are seeking 1-2 volunteers to check these teachers in during the appropriate appointment times and to answer their questions regarding inventory and check out. Someone who is detail oriented with customer service experience would be well suited to this role. Retired teachers or those with classroom experience would also be welcome!

After submitting interest you will receive an email from Blair, our Volunteer Coordinator, confirming your availability. We are happy to schedule around other commitments so M-F 4hr/day commitment is not necessary. We are not accepting volunteers with less than 48hrs notice. Our staff need to be available to train volunteers. Thank you for your understanding.
