Volunteers will assemble Shelter-in-Place Kits designed to provide seniors with essential items and helpful resources during an emergency. After assembling the kits, volunteers will pair up and visit senior homes to deliver the kits, explain how the items can be used, and spend time connecting and socializing with the residents. This is a great opportunity to volunteer with purpose while also building meaningful personal connections within our community. No special experience is required—just a willingness to help, listen, and spend time with others. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Arrive at The Resiliency Center at 8:30AM. Short virtual projects available IT (Office 365 and OneDrive/SharePoint Online): Take a look “under the hood” of our current setup, recommend a simple structure, and help us clean up and configure our files and permissions. Estimated 1–3 hours, depending on your approach. Marketing & Communications (PR, graphic design, social media): Support a few focused projects that will help us reach a new generation of volunteers and partners. Estimated 3–5 hours per project. Refresh the look, feel, and tone of our website so it resonates with younger and more diverse volunteers and supporters. Update our external slide decks (corporate partners, project site partners) so they clearly tell our story and impact. Create simple, reusable Canva templates for each of our three mission programs to keep our materials consistent and on brand.
