Be a part of the action at the Girls on the Run Celebratory 5K on November 9th at 9:00 AM at The Shrine on Airline as a Pacer Volunteer! We're looking for energetic volunteers to run or walk at a designated pace, motivating our 3rd-8th grade girls and community runners to keep going and achieve their goals. Your encouragement will help the girls feel confident and supported every step of the way!

5K Description: Every Girls on the Run season culminates in a celebratory 5K event, where girls and community members of all abilities experience the joy and achievement of crossing the finish line. This moment of triumph is a powerful memory that instills confidence and resilience in each participant. Everyone in our program receives a commemorative medal, and for many, this moment marks a major personal accomplishment. This year's 5K will be hosted at The Shrine in Metairie on November 9th, 2024, starting at 9:00 a.m., with registration opening at 7:30 a.m. The race will include many festivities, including our second line, Inspiration Village (where runners can get all dolled up with facepaint and hair color), and a complimentary breakfast of champions.
