You are the backbone of this vibrant cultural celebration! Your volunteer hours directly help create a beautiful, memorable, and safe space for thousands of community members to connect, celebrate heritage, and honor loved ones. We need energetic help with setting up and breaking down the event site.
Position Details
· Role: Setup and Decor Volunteer / Cultural Celebration Crew
· Location: New Orleans Healing Center, 2372 Saint Claude Ave, New Orleans, LA 70117
· Time Commitment Options:
oSetup Shift: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Approx. 2 hours)
oBreakdown Shift: 9:30 PM – Approx. 11:00 PM (Approx. 1.5 - 2 hours)

Responsibilities (The "What")
This is an unskilled, high-energy role perfect for individuals, families, or groups! Duties may include:
· Helping transport and arrange tables and chairs.
· Assisting with the placement of ofrendas (altars) and floral decorations.
· Hanging lighting, banners, and signage.
· Managing general site readiness and organization.
· (For Breakdown Shift): Quickly and safely packing decor and stacking furniture.
