We are seeking a responsible and enthusiastic volunteer to staff our by-donation rum bar at the Day of the Dead / Fet Gede celebration. Your service helps raise funds critical to the event's continuity while providing a fun, controlled experience for our guests.
Position Details
· Role: Rum Bar Bartender (Single-Product Service)
· Event: Day of the Dead / Fet Gede Celebration
· Venue: New Orleans Healing Center, 2372 Saint Claude Ave, New Orleans, LA 70117
· Shift Time: 5pm - 7pm, 7pm - 9pm
Responsibilities (The "What")
This is an easy, focused, and high-impact role suitable for someone comfortable with simple, fast-paced service:
· Serving single shots of Barbancourt rum to patrons making a donation. No complex mixing or cocktail preparation required!
· Keeping a steady supply of fresh-sliced limes available.
· Handling cash donations and ensuring responsible service (checking IDs, refusing service as necessary).
· Keeping the bar service area clean and organized.
Requirements (Essential)
· Age Requirement: Must be 21 or older.
· Training: Must be willing to follow brief instructions on responsible service (e.g., proper ID checking).
· Certification: Current Responsible Vendor/Server certification (or willingness to obtain one) is a major asset, but no prior experience is necessary.
