Celebrate International Women’s Day with United Way of Southeast Louisiana at a fun, meaningful Day of Action at Sankofa Wetland Park & Nature Trail!
Volunteers will roll up their sleeves to help create a brand-new birding trail—clearing designated areas and transplanting beautiful native iris flowers. This hands-on experience supports habitat restoration, environmental stewardship, and expanded access to this special community space for years to come.
This is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity with activities for all ages and skill levels. Whether you love light landscaping, planting flowers, or just pitching in where needed, there’s a role for everyone. Bring your kids, invite your friends, or make it a team outing with coworkers—together, we’ll make a lasting impact while having a great time outdoors!
