Volunteers will begin our newest summer project at Marrero Middle...an extreme library makeover!! Celebrate Juneteenth so that students come back to school with a surprise renovation that takes the library from drab to fab! The vision is to inspire and engage students more deeply in their academic pursuits by creating a vibrant, modern space that looks and feels like a college campus.
Roles range from low to high activity levels. We need help packing books, painting new bulletin boards, moving shelves and more. All tools, supplies and materials , water, work gloves and safety gear, etc. provided. Closed-toed shoes required.
