MLK Day Of Service @ Sankofa Market

NOLA 1st Service Platoon, a team of veteran and non-veteran volunteers, needs volunteers for our Martin Luther King Day of Service event in partnership with Sankofa Market.

We are very excited to be working with Sankofa Market and supporting them in the amazing work that they do in our great city. Sankofa's Fresh Stop Market is where neighborhood residents of the Lower Ninth Ward can purchase healthy, fresh and affordable food, most of which is grown locally at Sankofa's own gardens. 

Sankofa's goal is to support the creation of a local environment that promotes positive health outcomes and builds healthier communities for generations to come.

We will be doing light construction and area beautification. No experience is necessary. 

Children are welcome at this event.
