We have 6 above ground beds in our children's garden. Each bed will be used by the participants in the various programs offered by the center. We need volunteers to weed and feed the soil. Once weeds are removed, the compost will be put on top (about 2-3 inches deep) and then mixed into the soil. The garden is surrounded by a wooden picket fence. With the assistance of an Arts teacher, the children will paint and design drawings on the fence. We need the volunteers to prep the fence by sanding it, wiping off the residue, then using a paint brush, apply a stain-blocking wood primer.
Snacks and water will be provided. Must wear comfortable clothes
