Volunteer: Pass the Chalk: End of School Year Party!

STEM Library Lab is hosting an end of the school year event....Pass the Chalk: Retire with Purpose!

This event is an opportunity to honor retiring educators and acknowledge the life of service they devoted to our youth and community! The event is a happy hour format mix and mingle from 1-5pm. As part of the celebration, teachers and retirees are encouraged to bring in donations of used classroom supplies for our Teacher Free-Store. These supplies will be sorted and redistributed to teachers in the next academic year. We are requesting volunteers to help collect and sort these donations, as well as assist in general party setup and food/drink service.

Donation collection and sorting will take place in the warehouse garage so it will be hot/humid. Please wear closed-toe shoes and expect to sweat. We have plenty of hand trucks, and carts to help with unloading teacher's vehicles. We do not accept large items like furniture, but volunteers should be able/comfortable lifting 25lbs.
