Volunteer: Organize donations in the Teacher Free-Store (For Teams)

Shifts are available to Teams and groups of 15 on Tuesdays/Thursdays only.

What You'll Do:

Unpack and sort donated items

Organize supplies on shelves by category

Arrange displays to be visually appealing and easy to navigate

Keep shelves tidy and restocked as needed

Your attention to detail and creativity will help teachers quickly find the items they need—at no cost to them. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy organizing, interacting with teachers, or simply want to give back in a meaningful way!

Volunteer: Event Support: Free-Store Sweep!

STEM Library Lab's Teacher Free-Store is hosting a Science Sweep event! We are giving away thousands of dollars of science supplies to teachers and science-centered nonprofits. This event is hosted in collaboration with Ed Opportunities' STEAM Meetup Fair. We are promoting a fun, high energy event. There will be a DJ w/ 90s tunes, a Food Truck, Beer & Wine, King Cake, Coffee, and FREE STUFF!!


SETUP SHIFT 11A-3PM:

We are looking for 3-5 volunteers to help with setup which requires arranging tables and carrying heavy boxes of science supplies downstairs. Please only sign up if you are comfortable standing and lifting 50lbs.

EVENT SHIFT 2-6P:

We are looking for 3-5 volunteers to direct traffic in the parking lot and to assist teachers bringing supplies to/from their vehicle. Hand trucks and carts are available on site. Please only sign up if you are comfortable standing and lifting 30lbs.

Volunteers may also be asked to help with food and drink service and to replenish trash bags.


You will receive an email after signing up, confirming if you'd like to work the Setup Shift, Event Shift, or both.
