Volunteer: Common Ground Relief Free PantryCommon Ground Relief has hosted food and supply distributions at 1804 Deslonde Street since November 2020. Our food security initiative was established in response to COVID-exacerbated food insecurity in the Lower Ninth Ward. We served families throughout Southeast Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Ida. Volunteer tasks may include unloading food donations and restocking shelves, greeting patrons, loading groceries into vehicles, and managing food stock. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for the outdoor weather. Bring a mask, water, and lunch.
