Who We Are
At French Quarter Festivals, Inc. (FQFI), we proudly bring the heart and soul of New Orleans to life through three signature events: French Quarter Festival, Satchmo SummerFest, and Holidays New Orleans Style. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our mission is to promote the Vieux Carré and the city’s rich cultural heritage through world-class festivals that showcase New Orleans music, cuisine, and vibrant traditions. Since 1984, the French Quarter Festival has celebrated the essence of New Orleans with over 20 stages showcasing every genre of local music, from traditional jazz to brass bands and Zydeco. Known as the city’s “favorite festival,” this event highlights the culinary excellence of over 60 Louisiana restaurants and attracts visitors from around the world to the iconic French Quarter.
What We Do
FQFI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that uplifts and sustains New Orleans’ cultural economy and those who create it. Our mission is to promote the Vieux Carré and the City of New Orleans through high-quality special events and activities that showcase the culture and heritage of this unique city, contribute to the economic well-being of the community, and instill increased pride in the people of New Orleans. FQFI annually produces French Quarter Festival, Satchmo SummerFest, and other cultural programming. Annually, we offer our volunteers more than eight different opportunities to take part in. From the Beer Booth to the Green Team, here at FQF we have a place for everyone.
