Who We Are
We are Friends of Bayou St. John a 501c(3) non profit organization that promotes stewardship, cultural appreciation, responsible recreation, and initiatives that support a clean, healthy Bayou St. John that is accessible to all.
What We Do
We organize MONTLY clean-ups/projects in Bayou St. John and surrounding areas. All towards preservation and restoration or the waterways and natural environment.
Every FIRST SATURDAY of the month we have a project (more info on our facebook page) that we need volunteers for.
Once a year, we produce the Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo Festival. A music, food, and arts festival held on Bayou St. John each Spring. We are committed to be a sustainable festival for everyone in the community and try to spearhead efforts to beautify our neighborhood as well as supporting efforts started by neighboring non-profits.
For the festival, THIRD WEEKEND OF MAY, we are always looking for volunteers!!
