Join us for some pre-race fun at the Girls on the Run Celebratory 5K on November 9th at The Shrine on Airline as a Bling Your Bib Volunteer! We’re looking for creative volunteers to help participants decorate their race bibs with fun stickers, markers, and more. Your role will add an extra touch of excitement, allowing our 3rd-8th grade girls to express themselves before they hit the course!

5K Description: Every Girls on the Run season culminates in a celebratory 5K event, where girls and community members of all abilities experience the joy and achievement of crossing the finish line. This moment of triumph is a powerful memory that instills confidence and resilience in each participant. Everyone in our program receives a commemorative medal, and for many, this moment marks a major personal accomplishment. This year's 5K will be hosted at The Shrine in Metairie on November 9th, 2024, starting at 9:00 a.m., with registration opening at 7:30 a.m. The race will include many festivities, including our second line, Inspiration Village (where runners can get all dolled up with facepaint and hair color), and a complimentary breakfast of champions.
