When: Saturday, November 16; Sign-in at 9:00 AM; Planting from 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM.
Where: Holy Cross. Meeting location is emailed to registered volunteers the week of the planting. There is parking available at basecamp for sign in, and volunteers will drive to their planting locations after signing in.
Below are some notes for the planting event:
- Please arrive on time.
- After check-in at basecamp, volunteers will meet up with their planting groups for instructions and will need to drive up to 1 mile to the planting site.
- Wear closed-toed, comfortable shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
- Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, or any other protection you need from the sun or the elements.
- Please bring your own reusable water bottle that can be refilled throughout the day. We will not provide disposable water bottles as part of our commitment to avoid the use of single-use plastics.
- If you think you’ll need a snack to sustain your energy throughout the day, please bring one with you. We will have coffee during sign in, in addition to pizza and beer for those 21+ following the planting.
- We'll provide tools and clean gloves, but you are welcome to bring your own gloves if you have a favorite pair.
