As we approach the New Year, High Voltage is excited to announce our MLK Day of Service project. This year we will work with volunteers from EskewDumezRipple, Architectural Firm to redesign the playground at Esperanza Academy
in New Orleans.
Research has shown that playgrounds for children are important because playgrounds help the following:
Strength Social Skills
Stimulate Emotional Development
Encourage Physical Activity
Promotes Creativity and Imagination
Boots Cognitive Development
Increases Confidence and Self-Esteem and
Strengthens Community Ties
We are seeking volunteers to Powerwash the Blacktop as well as help paint areas in the Playground Area. The powerwashing of the blacktop has to been done 1-2 days prior to the painting of the blacktop.
