The Agri-Aquaculture Center of Excellence (AACE)—home to Louisiana’s largest closed-loop aquaculture facility—offers volunteers the chance to support The Harvest to Health Farm while learning about sustainable farming and hydroponics. Volunteers will be asked to do the following activities:
- Hydroponic Lettuce Harvesting
- Help harvest fresh hydroponic lettuce for community distribution.
- Hydroponic Board Washing
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing hydroponic growing boards to prepare them for reuse.
- Hydroponic Plant Transplanting
- Support the farm team by transplanting young seedlings into hydroponic systems.
Attire: Wear clothes that can get dirty and wet. Bring a change of clothes. Closed-toe shoes that can get wet.
