lowernine.org hosts biweekly mobile pantry food distributions in the Lower Ninth Ward in partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank and Common Ground Relief. Our mobile pantry only requires that clients drive up in a vehicle, and volunteers place a box of food in the trunk of the vehicle. The food distribution is every other Tuesday beginning at 9:30am, and continues until food runs out. Volunteers can expect to help with setup, package food into boxes, place food into clients’ vehicles, and help clean up the site afterwards.
